Re:Pitch is a browser-based audio tool created by David Miladinović for preparing samples for the Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II.
The problem
Limited sample storage on portable samplers made repetitive sample preparation inconvenient. Speeding a sample up before transfer can reduce its storage use, but preparing multiple files this way was cumbersome.
Technical implementation
Re:Pitch runs in the browser. It lets users speed up a sample, convert it to mono, and change its sample rate before transfer.
Outcome
The project provided a focused workflow for preparing samples without opening a desktop audio workstation. A later EP-133 K.O. II update added support for importing and recording samples at different sample rates; David Miladinović does not claim responsibility for that product decision.
